sousaphone

sousaphone
a type of large brass instrument, often stereotypically played by lederhosen-clad men in the Swiss alps. The sousaphone is supposedly named for composer John Philip Sousa, who supposedly had it invented.
Sousaphone is also an obsolete name for the tuba.
